At Fox Valley Dental we pride ourselves on providing an enjoyable dental experience to our patients. Part of that experience is ensuring we take most insurances, that way patients are never limited to who they can see. Additionally, we make it a point to provide patients with affordable out of pocket treatment options as well, so you never have to sacrifice your health due to a lack of funds.
Why is going to the dentist important?
Oftentimes when someone doesn’t have dental insurance they forego going to the dentist. They don’t believe it’s as important as visiting their doctor for their annual check-up. Unfortunately, most people don’t realize just how crucial dental exams are.
Regular dental cleanings keep your teeth clean and help your doctor look for any abnormalities or changes that could indicate further issues.
Some of the most common health issues in America, like heart disease and diabetes, are linked to dental issues like periodontitis. In fact, diabetic patients with periodontitis have been shown to have increased level of blood sugar when compared to control groups in studies.
What type of insurance does Fox Valley Dental accept?
At Fox Valley Dental we’ve signed up with most PPO dental plans. This gives you the freedom to choose your provider and the confidence that comes with knowing you’re in-network and won’t have to pay additional fees.
Why does it feel like my dental insurance doesn’t do much?
While the cost of running a dental office and attending dental school keeps going up, dental insurance companies continue to cut their benefits. As a result, the amount of coverage has decreased and the remainder of the cost is passed on to patients.
Another tactic of insurance companies is that they only cover a percentage of the more expensive procedures. The portion that’s uncovered is what you, the patient, is responsible for. Depending on the procedure, this number can be quite expensive.
What if I don’t have insurance?
If you don’t have dental insurance, we offer steep discounts on things like your annual cleaning, first appointment, checkups, and procedures like cavity fillings and x-rays. Our specials page details current specials we’re running or you can give us a call in the office to learn about the options available to you.
If you don’t see a special that applies to you, we’d still love to connect. There are many ways we serve patients and one of them is understanding where they’re at and how we can meet them there.
For many patients, dental insurance doesn’t cover all procedures, particularly elective procedures such as getting porcelain veneers. For these types of costs, we accept most major credit cards, which allows you to create your own payment plan. We also partner with a couple of third-party financing companies that allow you to finance more expensive procedures at a lower interest rate.
Contact our office today to learn how we can help you navigate the world of dental insurance. We also encourage you to frequently check our specials page to see what options are available.
